Vision and Mission

Vision: Every child has talents. Every child has dreams. KidsRights believes in a world where all children have access to basic care and are given the possibility to develop themselves to their fullest potential.

Mission: KidsRights promotes the wellbeing of very vulnerable children across the world and advocates the expression of their rights.

KidsRights focuses on very vulnerable children anywhere in the world, from 0 to 18 years old, with some flexibility in the age when completing secondary school. Very vulnerable children are children who are not able to develop themselves fully, because they do not have access to the five basic requirements of care: health care, nutrition, education, shelter and attention.

KidsRights executes on her mission by:

1. Providing education on (the importance of) children’s rights. The most important instrument for this is the International Children’s Peace Prize;
2. Supporting aid projects: direct assistance via local project organisations/partners who offer all-round care based on the five basic care requirements.

100 percent of your donations to childhelp and advocacy on children's rights

KidsRights is a professional organization with an excellent network at its disposal to effectively impact the lives of vulnerable children worldwide. KidsRights ensures that donations are for the full 100% invested into the project of your choice. This is achieved through KidsRights’ Founders: a special group of companies and individuals who explicitly help finance the overhead expenses of the organization. If you do not select an aidproject yourself, KidsRights will choose a project that needs the most help. In short, 100% of your donation will be spend on aid- and advocacyprojects.

Special events

A few times a year KidsRights organizes a fundraiser with for example an auction. The net income (proceeds minus costs) of these events is allocated towards KidsRights. Per event KidsRights communicates the specific destination of the proceeds of each event.

KidsRights HistoryMarc Dullaert

KidsRights was founded in July 2003 by Marc Dullaert. Born from a desire to aid very vulnerable children through direct help and to provide children with a "platform" to voice out their struggle and circumstances. He also wanted an efficient organization that would have significant impact without a large bureaucratic structure. "I want KidsRights to resemble a small fleet of rowing boats and not a large and cumbersome vessel. Well run, small but high-impact projects to aid the very vulnerable.” Meanwhile KidsRights has grown into an internationally acclaimed organization, recognized for its innovativeness and entrepreneurship. The emphasis however remains with the child: "I do not believe the drop on the glowing plate myth. Every child matters, every child is worthy of support, every child we save is worth all the effort." said Marc Dullaert.
